When your child gives your parenting a failing grade: The power of vulnerable parenting

“How would you rate my parenting on sensitive subjects?”

Who amongst us would have the guts to ask such a question? We have enough fears about our we are doing as parents without having our kids confirm them!

Marilyn Evans however, needed to know. And when her son gave her a failing grade she was brave enough to make changes. She didn’t simply educate herself on how to have better discussions, she kept going until she was able to start helping other parents learn to have those difficult conversations as well.

Marilyn now runs Parents Aware, a fantastic Canadian organization offering solution-focused discussion about pornography for parents.

She joined us to talk about her journey as a mother, how to handle finding out your children have been watching porn and the power of being humble and vulnerable with your kids.
